One More Video ("we", "our", "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

• Your OpenAI API key (if you add one) is only used to talk to OpenAI
• We don't currently track you

What Data We Currently Store

All data is currently stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. We currently store:

1. User Preferences

• Ad skip toggle state - Whether auto-skip ads is enabled/disabled
• Sponsor skip toggle state - Whether auto-skip sponsors is enabled/disabled
• Popup position - Where you last positioned the extension popup

2. OpenAI API Key (Optional)

• If you choose to use AI features (mindmaps, comment analysis), you provide your own OpenAI API key
• This key is stored locally only on your device
• We never see, access, or transmit your API key to our servers (we don't have any servers)
• Your API key is only sent directly to OpenAI when you use AI features

3. Cached Data

• Video mindmaps - Generated mindmaps are cached locally to avoid regenerating them
• Video IDs - Used as cache keys (e.g., "mindmap_videoID123")
• This data never leaves your device

What Data We Don't Currently Collect

• We don't currently collect analytics or usage data
• We don't currently track which videos you watch
• We don't currently collect personal information (name, email, etc.)
• We don't currently use cookies or tracking pixels
• We don't currently have any backend servers collecting data

Third-Party Services

OpenAI (Optional)

If you choose to use AI features, your data is sent to OpenAI:

• What's sent: Video captions, comments (when you use those features)
• Why: To generate mindmaps and analyze comments
• Your control: You provide your own API key. Don't use AI features = no data sent to OpenAI

YouTube

The extension runs on YouTube.com pages to provide its functionality. We don't send any data to YouTube beyond what your normal YouTube usage would send.

Permissions Explained

Storage Permission

Required to save your preferences and cache data locally on your device.

Host Permission (*.youtube.com)

Required to inject UI controls and detect video content on YouTube pages. The extension only runs on YouTube domains.

Data Security

• All data is stored using Chrome's secure storage API
• Your API key is stored locally and encrypted by Chrome
• We use HTTPS for all external API calls (OpenAI)

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete all data: Uninstall the extension or clear Chrome extension storage
• Remove API key: Delete it from the Settings tab at any time
• Disable features: Turn off auto-skip or AI features individually

Children's Privacy

The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the extension evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Future Data Collection

While we currently store all data locally on your device, we may introduce optional data collection features in the future to improve the extension, such as:

• Anonymous usage analytics to understand which features are most used
• Error reporting to help us fix bugs faster
• Optional cloud sync for your preferences across devices

If we introduce any data collection:

• It will be opt-in only - you'll need to explicitly enable it
• We'll update this privacy policy before implementing it
• The extension will continue to work fully without enabling data collection

Summary

We're addicts, not creeps. We built this extension to enhance our own YouTube experience. Currently, everything stays on your device—we don't have servers collecting data.
